Shabazz Palaces

One of hip hop's most creative and cross-boundary acts.

Shabazz Palaces are percussionist Tendai Maraire and Ishmael Butler, formerly of Digable Planets and Cherrywine. Working now under the moniker Palaceer Lazaro, Ishmael provides the group’s vision and vocals, while Tendai employs ancient instruments from his homeland Zimbabwe.

The group which also features mixing engineer Erik Blood, often dress in elaborate costumes and masks for their live performances.

Concerts at Södra Teatern

Södra Teatern is Stockholm’s oldest active theatre, constructed in 1859 and situated in the heart of Södermalm’s bohemian pulse with breathtaking views over the capital. Despite the classic gold and red velvet settings, the stage is predominantly used for music rather than drama performances these days. As a concert venue, Södra Teatern enjoys a solid reputation both domestically and overseas, attracting vibrant locals and leading luminaries alike.
