When sisters Rebecca and Megan entered the scene under the name Larkin Poe in 2010, it was with an ambition to revive blues rock. The recipe was a combination of heavy rock, Southern blues and intensely soulful singing in a contemporary package. And, not least, the very special interplay between Rebecca’s guitar and lead vocals and Megan’s heavenly voices and innovative lap steel. Today, almost fifteen years later, we can say that the mission is complete. Larkin Poe has toured all over the world, released seven acclaimed albums, been nominated for a Grammy, topped the Billboard charts and, above all, contributed to making blues rock relevant again.
