Jacob Banks
Jacob Banks enters Cirkus Arena.
Jacob Banks has in recent years both enchanted and touched with his beautiful voice and equally fine songs. Those who saw him at Filadelfia, Berns, through the screen on Skavlan or on Lollapalooza’s giant stage know of course what we are talking about. Recently, Banks released Yonder: Book I, the first part of a searching trilogy that revolves around roots and heritage. On April 2, Jacob Banks will come to Cirkus for a long-awaited performance.
Jacob Banks is based in Birmingham, UK, and early in his career became the first unsigned artist to participate in BBC Radio1 Live Lounge. After that, Banks’ artistry quickly took off, and two EPs were released within two years. In 2017, the major breakthrough came with the EP The Boy Who Cried Freedom, released on the prestigious Interscope Records. Since then, Banks has also released the debut album Village, the follow-up Lies About the War, and the live album Our Time Together.
As heard on the latter, it is live that Banks should be experienced – expect an evening that all present will rarely forget at Cirkus this spring.
