Jacob Banks
Jacob Banks enters Cirkus Arena.
Jacob Banks has both enchanted and touched us in recent years with his beautiful voice and equally fine songs. Those who saw him at Filadelfia, Berns, through the screen on Skavlan, or on Lollapalooza’s giant stage, of course, know what we’re talking about. Recently, Banks released Yonder: Book I, the first part of a searching trilogy that revolves around roots and heritage. On April 2, Jacob Banks will come to Cirkus for a long-awaited performance.
Jacob Banks hails from Birmingham in the UK and early in his career became the first unsigned artist to participate in BBC Radio1 Live Lounge. Banks’ artistry then quickly took off, and two EPs were released within two years. In 2017 came the breakthrough with the EP The Boy Who Cried Freedom, released on the prestigious Interscope Records. Since then, Banks has also released his debut album Village, the follow-up Lies About the War, and the live album Our Time Together.
As heard on the latter, it is live that Banks should be experienced – expect an evening that all attendees will rarely forget at Cirkus this spring.
