As part of “The Big Four” – together with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth – Anthrax shaped the aggressive, fast, and uncompromising sound that came to define thrash metal during the 1980s. With their explosive riffs, high tempos, and unique ability to blend humor with hard intensity, the band created its own expression in an already tough genre.
From the early years to the breakthrough in the 80s and 90s, Anthrax has released several genre-defining albums and undergone various line-ups, but always retained their innovative power and their obvious place in the metal world.
Now Anthrax is making a long-awaited visit to Gröna Lund — an evening where the Main Stage is sure to shake to its core.
